On Tuesday, the 7th of December, most of the year 8 students here at Rawhiti went to formal that we had in our school hall. My friends and I (Naquita, Mailli, Kymaira and Kahukura) didn't tell or show each other what we had planned to wear or our hairstyles so when we all showed up, we all looked very different but all very beautiful. Formal started at six but as Nogo said "A lady comes late not early because if she's early that means she wants attention".
The menu we for the dinner the adults made was
- Chicken
- Pulled pork
- Beef brisket
- Potato salad
- Pasta salad
Then for dess
ert we had the choice of
- Chocolate cake
- Vanilla cake
- Blueberry cake
- Ice cream
The drinks they handed out were
- Juice
- Lemonade.
After we all finished eating, we then had karaoke in the library and a dance party in the hall, the photo booth was running again. The girls and I all did karaoke and we thought we sounded amazing but compared to what the kaiako are saying, many people thought we sounded terrible.
I loved seeing everyone dressed up nicely and having a good time. It was a very memorable moment that I will cherish forever.
