Te Kuri Matekai

Today as part as poutama, we read a pukapuka about a a hungry kea in Te Reo, we learnt the sentence structure "ka kai ia i te..."

Then using that structure we made our own pukapuka by choosing a different animal and different kai.

Here is the pukapuka I created.

Punua Kekeno

Today I learnt what punua kekeno means, it means seal pup. I also learnt a new way of how to describe or use different Maori structures. Whaea Jasmine read us a story this morning and we had to then re-create it.

Korean Ahurea

In the past week we’ve been learning about different cultures. In my group I had Pippin, Te Paea, Mana and Eva. As a group we had to choose what culture we wanted to do and we chose Korean. We had to research their traditional things they do/have such as Traditional clothing, music, games, kai, holidays, location and then beliefs and values.

After we had out information we shared on a slide, we had to make a poster about it with the information about the topics we had to research about. We also added photos.
