Today as a ropu we researched Mother's Day quotes we could use in Te Reo Maori. The quote I chose was "Ko te whaea te takere o te waka" which means "Mothers are like the hull of a canoe, they are the heart of the family"
We then followed instructions to make an origami flower to attach on to our cards. I struggled with finding a good flower and ended up copying one of my friends one.
In our year groups, we made a sugar scrub and added the year 7&8's chose the scent peppermint and the colour red. My favourite part was pretty much all of it because it was a really nice and artistic activity to do.
Have you ever made a soap scrub before?
