In Ata Hapara the tau 4-8 have been doing book clubs.

First we pick a book that interests us and then we go into the group with others that picked the same book.

We then work out how many pages are in the book then how much pages we have to read a day.

While we read each section, we fill out our discussion ticket with figurative language, vocabulary, favorite paragraph, favorite part and discussion seed.

Finally we then share out information from our discussion ticket. Everyone in the group has a job each day, either translator, editor, illustrator or publicist.

This week I'm reading "Journey To Tangiwai"

This book is about a boy who is learning about the war that his dad and uncle were in.

Have you ever been in a book club before?
